Before the days of Flash videos, it was very easy to watch & download almost any video you wanted to off the web. Sites like YouTube & Google’s Video pages brought Flash videos to the forefront of the online media distribution methods.

I won’t bother you with the details of why content providers are leaning towards Flash Video. Those of you who are not involved in the web probably do not care & those of you who are involved in the web probably already know.

What is interesting though is that sites like YouTube make it difficult for non-seasoned web surfers to know how to download a video now. Vixy.net aims to change this. Put any YouTube video url in the field, choose your video format poison of choice & voila - in a matter of minutes, you have a downloaded video of the content that was impossible to get without a lot of technical savvy.
