I just pre-ordered my Don Hertzfeldt animation collection dvd. For those unfamiliar with him, i will sum up his work:
- stick figures
- violence
- blood (and lots of it)
- brilliant
Apparently the first 700 people to order the dvd will get one of a series of free gifts included with the dvd. Here’s to hoping for something cool.
www.lovefilm.com posted up a wallpaper with 100 film names hidden inside it. Theresa and I were able to figure out 97 of them, but the last 3 have eluded us.
Well - I finally installed the new photo gallery on my site. It’s a full fledged version upgrade from the last one & from even a tertiary glance all the new slick features are glaringly obvious.
Hopefully, as the week progresses, I will be able to restore my old galleries & get some new photos up soon.
The following excerpt is from a review for a book called Left Behind on Amazon.com. At present the review in question is the top one on the page, but should it slip for any reason, look for one entitled “Normally I take Zombies with my end days”.
“Left behind was one of the most enjoyable books I have read lately. I constantly found the authors’ inability to make logic logical or science scientific to be a riot. This book is totally anti-intellectual, narrow-minded and written on a fourth grade level. It’s like reality TV or a car accident, I just couldn’t help watching (or reading, as the case may be).”
What is of particular humor about this quote is that he apparently genuinely liked the book.
Every morning, I attempt to turn off my alarm clock with the power of my mind - under the extremely unlikely pretense that I might have developed telekinetic powers through the night. This way - should it happen - I will not have wasted the day picking things up with my hands.
