File this under Why didn’t I think of it first?

Its all about planning

Friday, August 19th, 2005

The wife & I met with a Financial Planner last night. She & I have gotten a firm hold on our home finances but want to try to get things set up for the rest of our lives what with the future Youngling coming & all.

About 15 minutes into our meeting, the Planner turned to us and asked, “So what are the things you are most concerned about?”

We told him we wanted to consider:
1. Planning for retirement.
2. Putting money together to put the future world leader through college.
3. Buying a home.
4. Planning for theresa’s career change to Landscape Architecture.

It took every ounce of my will to resist adding:

5. Buying out ownership of the entire Sony Corporation so I can shut it down to threaten the world economy so I can find out if there are superspies like James Bond who would surely be sent after me for such a heinous but subtly perfect act of evil.

The best part is Theresa would be obliged to agree with me because she swore to help me fulfill all of my deams in our wedding vows.

MUHAHAHHAHAHA

This game is so suppish

That’s the day we find out if my spawn is a boy, a girl or other. Place your bets!

Thusfar as many of you know, we chose the name if its a girl real easily, but have been struggling for a boy’s name for quite sometime.

Since we were having such a hard time, I suggested to Theresa that we sell the rights to name our child on ebay, but she was afraid some jerk ass would outbid everyone and we would end up with a kid named something like “Microsoft Sucks Schlossberg” or much more crass. I amended the idea to being the winner can have the child named after him or her, but Theresa still would not fold.

Since then, our friends have been very helpful offering their own — uhhhmm — shall we say “creative” names. My favorite suggestion by far right now is Chris Lee’s, Turbo Schlossberg.

I will return to my usual mindless blogging in a day or two once I get other things sorted out!
